Pupils review Easter reading material

Pupils have been writing reviews of the books they read over the Easter break.

​​​​​​​This week, the English department have been sharing pupil’s reviews of the books they read over the Easter break, via social media.

Year 7 pupil, William Edmeades Stearns wrote a review about ‘Asterix and the Chariot race’ which he described as ‘exciting and funny’. He was however shocked to discover that the bad guy that features in the book is unfortunately called Coronavirus! Needless to say he couldn’t believe his eyes…

Year 8 pupil, Anna Kiddel wrote a review about David Walliams’ book ‘Awful Auntie’ which she described as ‘funny and intriguing’. In her review, which was shared on Twitter by the English department, Anna rated the book a 5 out of 5. The tweet received a like from David Walliams himself – well done Anna!
