Fees
Termly fees from September 2026.
The registration fee is payable at the time of application and the deposit is set against the pupil’s final term’s expenses.
All of the fees and supplemental charges below are inclusive of VAT, where applicable and unless otherwise stated.
In line with government legislation, chargeable VAT has been imposed for all independent schools in the UK with effect from 1st January 2025.
Fees include: Lunches, tuition, textbooks, compulsory stationery, house funds, Friends of Bethany School subscriptions and basic laundry (for boarders only).

Deposits are refundable and are therefore exempt from VAT.

*The Football Excellence Pathway surcharge is for day and weekly boarding pupils only. For full boarders the surcharge is zero.
**VISA fees and English as an Additional Language fees are exempt from VAT.
***Music fees are charged by peripatetic music teachers and therefore VAT status is subject to the circumstances of the teacher.
Fees are reviewed by Bethany School Governors typically annually, and notified to parents in March/April of each year.
Paying fees
Fees can be paid by direct bank transfer, termly in advance or via Direct Debit, monthly or termly. Interest may be charged on any late payments.
All other expenses incurred, such as additional fees for Learning Support, educational trips, exam fees, transport costs etc, will be invoiced separately at the end of term, unless otherwise agreed.
The registration fee is non-refundable, however, the joining deposit will be refunded against a pupil’s final invoice. We require a full term’s notice if you wish to withdraw your child from School or change their status from boarding to day pupil, otherwise a term’s fees in lieu of notice will be charged.
Discounts
Bethany offers a 10% remission of fees to children of members of the Armed Forces, to children of the clergy, and to siblings of existing Bethany pupil.
