As parents there is nothing more rewarding than seeing our children succeed. All FOBS (Friends of Bethany School) members are parents or carers who have watched our children thrive in the happy, nurturing environment of Bethany School.

Some have just begun the journey, some have children who are now at university but enjoy being part of Bethany so much that they continue to volunteer to support the school with social events and fund raising.

FOBS have run many successful events raising £1000’s for charities chosen by the children and for equipment at school. Recent events include a quiz night with a curry supper and a disco for years 7, 8 and 9 which was a really popular event with the dancers and two-left footers alike.

Our current fundraising goal is to provide fun outdoor leisure and fitness equipment for break times and hopefully for clubs too. You will soon see an outdoor table football table and giant chess set arriving along with picnic tables. We aim to provide outdoor table tennis tables and more leisure equipment as the academic year progresses.

FOBS also work to promote the school and help to provide refreshments at the many school events.

FOBS are always looking for new members. Anyone associated with Bethany, past or present, is welcome to join regardless of how much time you are able to give – every little helps. If you’d like to come along to one of our meetings or to help out at all please contact us on fobs@bethanyschool.org.uk.
