Overseas and International pupils

International pupils follow a slightly different admissions process to UK pupils, which is found further down this page. Below is a simplified 8-step process to a successful overseas and international boarding admission.

1 – Initial Enquiry

After your initial enquiry into boarding at Bethany School we will request certain documentation to proceed to the next stage. These documents include a recent academic report, a copy of the pupil’s passport and birth certificate, and any other background reports for additional needs.

2 – Video Call

After we have received pupil documents, a video call with the Headmaster will be arranged at a time and date to suit you.

3 – Completed registration form, fee and reference

After a successful video call with the Headmaster, we will require a completed registration form along with the relevant fee. A school reference will also be required at this stage.

4 – Entrance Assessments

  • Pupils in Years 7 to 10 will sit an online EAL test, and complete an English Creative Writing and Maths paper.
  • Pupils in Sixth Form will sit written papers in Maths, English and the Sciences, depending on which subjects the pupil is looking to study.

5 – Place offered

Upon successful completion of entrance assessments and the registration form, fee and school reference are received by us, the pupil will formally be offered a place at Bethany School.

6 – Contract
After the pupil is offered a place, you will receive a contract which must be completed and returned to us to accept the place.

7 – Initial Invoice

Upon completing and returning the contract an invoice will be issued to you for one term’s fees as deposit, to be paid within 7 days.

8 – Student Visa

At this stage, the pupil must apply for a student visa to study within the UK (if applicable).

UK Pupils

Pupils based within the UK will follow the 11+, 13+ or Sixth Form admissions process. Information about this can be found by clicking on the relevant button below.
