Bethany School pupils shone at the John Downton Awards on Thursday evening – showcasing their artistic flair that will now be shown at the Turner Contemporary.

We’re pleased to announce that, at the John Downton Awards on Thursday evening, we had winners in both age categories. Shortlisted pupils were Alice Colman, Willem Curtin and Beth Kuhepa, along with Amelia Knowles, Erica Lim and Charlotte Noakes. Beth was awarded the ‘Highly commended’ prize for the 17-18 category and Willem achieved the top prize of ‘Gold’ in the 11-16 category. Both of their works will be shown at the Turner Contemporary next year which is a unique opportunity to exhibit in an international gallery.
