Two Bethany School pupil’s are set to star in drama productions before Christmas. Year 8 pupil Christopher in Bleak Expectations and Year 7 pupil Joshua in Aladdin.
Christopher Webb, Year 8, is in Bleak Expectations, which is “a gloriously daft play based on a radio 4 comedy”.

Christopher is very excited about the shows coming up next week. It is one of his first real amateur dramatic productions being performed to a paying public. It is at the Oast Theatre in Tonbridge, where Christopher attends a drama group called Hoppers. This production is put on by the Oast Youth Theatre Company, and Hoppers are invited to audition and join the show. Christopher is playing a few small parts and is part of the ensemble.
Joshua Rose, Year 7, is in Aladdin at the Sinden Theatre. This is a professional production with Kim Stanley Smith as Abanazar, Julius Brady as Widow Twanky, Bobby Dazzler as Wishy washy, Ellie Homer as Princess and a full supporting cast.
Joshua is performing with DNC Academy of Dance. At present he is in full swing with rehearsals and very much looking forward to performing and learning from the industry’s best in a professional production.
“Dancing is fun and good for your health and I enjoy it so much that sometimes I don’t want to leave” – Josh
