On Tuesday 13th May Bethany’s Young Enterprise Company ‘Galahad’ competed in the Kent Showcase Finals at the University of Kent, Canterbury.

The competition consists of a lengthy Company Report, which they submitted ahead of the Competition, a Trade Stand where they meet the judges and show them their products, an Interview with the judging panel, and finally a 5-minute Presentation showcasing the highlights of their journey.

Galahad have enjoyed a hugely successful year, both financially and with regards to just how much they have achieved. Products have included:

• Goudhurst Christmas Fair: wooden chopping boards and cheeseboards, wreaths and filled stockings
• School Production: Hoodies, Photos, Photobooks and Refreshments
• Old Spitalfields Market, London: high quality Chopping Boards from Olive wood.

In the Kent Showcase Final Galahad were deservedly named Best Company. Competition from 6 companies was strong but the judges heaped praise on Galahad, highlighting particularly the way they have learned and adapted throughout the process, functioned well as a team, and operated superbly financially.

Galahad now go to compete in the Southeast England Final in London on Wednesday 21st May, we wish them the best of luck.
