Year 7 pupils in Mrs Shaw’s Geography class have been developing their map skills this term.

Last week pupils began learning their 8 point and 16 point compass directions. As their prep, the Year 7’s were challenged to make their own 3D model of a compass. There were some really creative efforts, using cardboard, Lego and even cake to make their models!

Lily W and Lily M managed to make working models after following an online tutorial, using a floating needle and bowl of water. Cecily made a fantastic looking cake, and Sebastian created a very impressive wooden pirate themed compass.

A massive well done to everyone in class 7H!
