Friday 21st October saw the first Project Based Learning day of this academic year.

The topic of the Year 7 and 8 Project Based Learning day was Black History Month. Pupils worked in groups to research, write and collectively deliver a speech about a black British person of their own choice.

Pupils also had help in developing their public speaking skills through the support of an external visitor, Chris Murphy: ‘The Speaking Mentor’.

All pupil tasks were designed with a specific focus on the five habits of learning: Engage, Question, React, Persist, Reflect.
