Jaws N Claws visited Year 8 on Tuesday. It’s an animal handling workshop that supports pupil’s understanding of animal adaptations in the tropical rainforest, which is our topic for this term.
Here is what our pupils had to say about it.
“I liked Jaws and Claws because it was fun. The purpose of the workshop was to learn about the animals and how they have adapted. In the workshop we got to hold, touch and see animals from the rainforest and learnt all about them. My favourite animal was the frogs. I learnt about the cockroach being able to survive lots of things, like being in a freezer, and that the chameleon couldn’t change colour!” – Ben J
