Enrichment week for year 10 was an action-packed extravaganza that left our pupils with memories to last a lifetime. From conquering the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition at Wowo in Ashdown Forest to embarking on an exhilarating trip to St Andrews Lake, our year 10 pupils truly pushed their limits and embraced the spirit of adventure.

Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition

After a shaky start, when our D of E pupils behaved with calm and bravery, we set off for WoWo in Ashdown Forest. All 16 set off in two groups and finished the walk at Ditchling. The group which set off first decided to challenge themselves and walked up to Ditchling Beacon. Very impressive!

We finally arrived back at WoWo, tired but ready for hot food and warm sleeping bags.

The rest of the Year 10 pupils embarked on an exhilarating three-day adventure, starting at St Andrews Lakes where they immersed themselves in a variety of exciting activities that pushed their physical limits and encouraged perseverance.

With a rotation of four thrilling activities – paddle boarding, bell-boating, raft building, and aqua park fun – the pupils had an absolute blast, particularly when they managed to tip over some unsuspecting Bethany Staff members from their paddle boards and into the refreshing waters of the lake!

On Tuesday Year 10 swapped water for tree top adventures and spent the morning on the high ropes course at Bedgebury.

Wednesday enabled Year 10 to go on Safari and meet Lamas, Tigers and Bears..oh my! All three locations noted how excellent the behaviour was and it was certainly a great way to ease into the summer holiday.
