Thank you for all the great entries. There were a wide range of styles and concepts both visually and typographically.
It was extremely difficult to pick any winners or the most impressive design work, but we have managed to do so and the results are below.
WINNING ENTRY (above)
Congratulations on this great design Bea (Year 8). This answered the brief perfectly, both visually and typographically. It really sets the historical and adventurous tone of the story well. Great creativity to make the paper appear as an aged historical scroll or manuscript.
SECOND PLACED ENTRY (above)
A great piece of work by Olivia. Such a strong image – ideal for the main character Jack. Solid typography too. Would work so well as a book cover.
THIRD PLACED ENTRY (above)
Fabulously detailed pencil work by AJ. Not just a great image but a very relevant image connected to the brief. The typography needs a little more work.
SOME OTHER STRONG ENTRIES (above)
The above four were also notably good designs. The one thing all the most notable designs had in common, was thet they all adhered to the brief in terms of- Design elements – storyline – correct text – correct size and so on. It is so important to read any brief carefully taking in the information accurately.
