We are very proud and fortunate to launch:  BETHANY SCHOOL – EXPEDITION TO TANZANIA IN JULY 2024

UPDATE: 11th November 2022 – It’s not too late to be part of this amazing adventure!

We are still accepting applicants for the Tanzania trip in 2024. If you have not yet applied, you can do so via My True Adventure and using the Expedition ID BETHTAN2024

This will guide you through the process and the application is complete when you have paid the £250 deposit and set up your direct debit instruction. Parents or students can complete the application and each party will then be invited to complete and confirm their details. The Information Page button takes you through to the expedition details & the parents’ information pack, should you wish to revisit.

This trip is open to all current Year 10, 11 and 12 pupils. We were fortunate enough to be given an excellent information evening last Friday 14th October 2022 by one of True Adventure’s directors, Kathryn Hardman.

The three-week expedition to Tanzania will take place in July 2024.

True Adventure organise life-changing adventures around the world for young people. What sets this apart from other school trips is the pupils will have the added responsibility of earning part or all of their place on the expedition by fundraising. They will also be given the opportunity to engage in preparation for the adventure before they leave the UK with termly meetings, to include: responsible travel; country & culture; and a full training weekend where they will learn the skills needed to set them up for success prior to their time in Tanzania. Whilst in the country they will also take on a variety of different roles, including leading the team and managing their group budget. They will also gain a PADI diving qualification.

I will be leading the trip and am very excited about this opportunity as it will give pupils the chance to do something unique that will make them stand out from the crowd. The adventure experience will provide them with a wealth of new skills which they will find invaluable in school, at university and in the world of work.

You can also find out more about this incredible opportunity through our bespoke landing page: https://true-adventure.co.uk/trip/bethany-school-expedition-to-tanzania-with-dive.

The cost of the trip is expected to be in the region of £4295 which is all inclusive, including excursions and diving qualifications. As a group we will be fundraising as part of the trip experience over the next 2 years. We find this is a valuable aspect of the process and builds team cohesion as well as organisational skills pre-departure.
