Darcey’s Open Water Swimming Success
A fantastic achievement for Darcey!
On Sunday 28th June, Darcey in Year 8 took on her first ever open water race at the South East Regional Open Water Swimming Championship at Mercers Lake, Surrey.
Swimming an impressive 2km in 26 minutes 13 seconds, Darcey secured 3rd place in the Kent County Championship, earning a well-deserved Kent bronze medal
Her brilliant performance also placed her 10th overall across the entire South East Region for her age group – a wonderful result, especially for her first experience of open water racing!
We are incredibly proud of Darcey for overcoming those pre-race nerves and embracing a new challenge. We look forward to seeing what comes next!
