Last week, we were delighted to welcome West End star Lee Mead to meet the cast before the opening night of our Junior Production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Lee, who shot to fame after winning the title role in Joseph and went on to star in the West End production, spent the afternoon with our pupils, sharing his experiences of life on stage during an inspiring Q&A session.

Our cast then had the opportunity to perform a special snippet of “Any Dream Will Do” for Lee, who offered valuable feedback and encouragement as they prepare to raise the curtain this week.

A particular highlight for Year 9 pupil, Raff, who plays Joseph in our production, was the chance to try on Lee’s original Dreamcoat from his own West End run in the late 2000s. Raff also enjoyed an impromptu one-to-one masterclass with Lee, gaining expert insight into the character and how to bring Joseph to life on stage.

With the Junior Production opening night fast approaching, the visit provided a wonderful boost of confidence and excitement for the entire cast.
