On Tuesday evening, St. Dunstan’s Church in Cranbrook was aglow with the spirit of Christmas as Bethany School hosted its annual Carol Service. The event brought together the warmth and vibrancy of our school community for a memorable evening filled with song, reflection and celebration.
The service commenced with a welcome by Mr Sturrock, setting the tone for the evening. Highlights included beautiful readings, performances by our talented Music Scholars and beloved carols sung in unison by the congregation. Special moments such as Bella’s solo in Once in Royal David’s City and the communal singing of Hark the Herald Angels Sing exemplified the spirit of togetherness that marks this Bethany tradition.
This year’s service extended its message beyond the church walls, supporting the Marden Foodbank. In the true spirit of giving, we invite everyone to consider donating to this vital cause, which provides much-needed assistance to members of our local community who are facing challenges. Contributions can be made by clicking the link at the bottom of this article.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the evening—parents and pupils alike, our dedicated staff, the readers, Music Scholars, the Bethany Maintenance Team and the congregation of St. Dunstan’s Church. Your efforts and participation brought the magic of Christmas to life.
As we close the year, may the messages shared in our Carol Service continue to resonate with you. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous, blessed New Year!
