Bethany pupil undertaking 40 mile walk for charity

Year 10 pupil; William Harby, and his friend Tom have challenged themselves to walk 40 miles in 12 hours in their full cricket gear!

William and Tom met playing cricket several years ago and play regularly during ‘normal’ seasons. The world of sport has experienced shock when high profile young players have unexpectedly had their careers cut short due to undiagnosed cardiac conditions. As young sportsmen, William and Tom have been made aware of the work of CRY, and are keen to support their work and to help raise awareness of other young people.

Every week, at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions in the UK. CRY work to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young people.

Sponsor William and Tom today.

By supporting them, you will help save young lives from potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
