We are currently looking for a passionate and inspiring individual to join the DLS team from September 2024.

For over 40 years, Bethany School has enjoyed an enviable National and International reputation for the support of dyslexic pupils within a mainstream environment.

 

Within our well-established Learning Success Department there is a strong emphasis on raising literacy skills, improving study skills and supporting mainstream subjects across all levels – supporting and strengthening our pupils to become the most successful independent learners they can be.

 

Further wider School positions of responsibility may be offered to a suitably experienced candidate. Therefore, this post may suit a recently qualified teacher or a more experienced one.

 

The successful candidate will likely (but not limited to):

 

  • Hold a relevant degree and UK Teaching Qualification;
  • Have appropriate SEND teaching experience;
  • Be knowledgeable of current developments in pedagogy and practice (including an engagement in action-based research)
  • Be committed and passionate in developing pupils across the age and ability range, maintaining the highest standards possible; and,
  • Have very good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with a willingness to play a full part in the life of a busy School.
