Admin Support to the Clerk of Governors

We have a new casual opportunity supporting our Clerk of Governors with all things admin.

This is an important role and will require someone highly organised and effective with preparing agendas and taking minutes at Board level. Strong typing skills and attention to detail while remaining calm under pressure are all key attributes needed for this role.

 

Key tasks of the role include:

  • Preparing agendas under the guidance of the Clerk.
  • Taking minutes at Full Board and Exec Committee meetings.
  • Typing up minutes from those meetings for the Clerk’s approval.
  • Supporting the Clerk in the distribution and preparation of Agenda, Submitted Papers and Minutes for the Full Board Meetings.
  • Oversee the publication of the minutes of the Governors’ subcommittee meetings if asked.
  • Adhere to all school policies and not be limited to child protection, discipline, health and safety.
  • To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

 

Salary: £18.18 per hour.

 

Hours: Hours will vary depending on the needs of the School at the time the work is required. There will however be a requirement to work 3 Saturdays a year, in order to attend scheduled Governor meetings that fall on these days.
